Long Night Of Research 2026

The Core Facilities presented some of the methods used for research at the Long Night Of Research on April 24, 2026:
Fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, genome sequencing and data analysis.

We discussed several questions with our visitors:
How do researchers look for / at cells?
How can cells be sorted, and why would we do that?
What are genes and how can we read them?
And what has the computer to do with everything?
We enjoyed the lively participation and interest of our visitors of all ages and celebrated research by making stones glow, working on edible cells, threading genes and finding out how many data dimensions a rubber ball has.
