As part of of the AfricaUniNet project GABIOMATIC (https://africa-uninet.at/en/projects/p072-gabon), a joint knowledge exchange project between the Medical University of Vienna and the CERMEL research institute in Lambaréné, Gabon, the Core Facilities have been hosting Mr. Saidou Mahmoudou, MSc. from January 29 to February 9, 2024.
Saidou's work centers around data management, statistics and epidemiology.
During his stay at MUV, Saidou gave a seminar and met with colleagues from the departments of epidemiology, medical statistics and medical information management among others; he also gained hands-on experience in bioinformatic analysis of viral sequencing data.
The project will continue with a visit of Dr.in Sophia Derdak of the Core Facilities to Lambaréné later this year, where she and Saidou will organize a workshop for researchers on data management and analysis.
